Zinc selenide (ZnSe) is an optical inert material known for its high purity, strong environmental adaptability, and ease of processing. It exhibits minimal light transmission loss and excellent transparency. With low absorption and resistance to thermal shock, zinc selenide material has high transmittance in the wavelength range of 600 nm to 16 μm, making it the preferred material for high-power CO2 laser optical components.
